Hi guys! I have just created a website called Infiledge.com. It is an online e-sharing of learning materials from websites or youtube videos. Not only that, this is your chance, if you are having your teaching videos or websites to share, why not start with infiledge.com?
Infiledge.com also encourage users to learn what they want to learn which is why in infiledge.com we provide a "What I want to learn" board where users can state down on the things that they want to learn. Then if other users happen to discover the videos or website which is relevant to what the topic on the "What I want to learn" board, they can simply upload to infiledge.com! Interesting isn't it?
One more thing, In infiledge.com, you can come up with your own module! Cool right? You can do a mashup of learning materials which can be found on infiledge.com and come up with your own unique module out of it. Your module can be related to your school where you can share with your friends or come up with a crazy module that you always want to do!
You learn, you teach and you share, this is the place, Infiledge.com! So if you are interested in this idea, join infiledge.com community!
All updates will come from this blog as there are many features are still undergoing construction! Stay tune!

Past two weeks of the "Summer Exchange Program"
Hong Kong is really a nice place to shop and eat..... non-stop.
In these past 2 weeks or so, I have walked so much that my legs were aching like mad whenever I reached back to my room. i was totally exhausted and went to sleep immediately after I have a good nice bath.
I have been to places like Mong Kok - ladies street, Ocean Park, Causeway Bay - IFC and Tim Ho Wan, China - ShenZhen.... and many other nice place.
This is one of the street performance that I have come across at Mong Kok. Enjoy!

Hong Kong Exchange Day 2
Day 2 :
Today is the day that we embark our journey to explore Hong Kong! We went to 3 different places in Hong Kong which are, Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong and Hang Hau.
When we reached Kowloon Bay, the environment of the shopping center make us feel as if we are still in Singapore because sad to say that shopping centers are almost the same in terms of shops that they have as well as the basic layout of the shopping mall.
After which we went to Kwun Tong, which has more of a Hong Kong feel as compared to Kowloon Bay. This is the picture how Kwun Tong street is like.
After exploring Kwun Tong, we felt that Kwun Tong feels more like an industrial area rather than a street market. Also, one of the shopping building looks like Sim Lim square (in terms of the things they sold), but I didn't take note what's the building name. It sells electronic product and on the top floor .... Well I guess you got to explore yourself to see what they are selling.
Last but not least, we went to Hang Hau, the place where we have to go because that's where we will be taking the mini bus back to school. The mission at Hang Hau was to search for PILLOWS! That's because we really need pillows badly after experiencing one night without it.
Since there are 3 to 4 different shopping malls in Hang Hau, we spend a few hours to hunt down for cheap pillow. And we got it at HKD$69 (~SGD $11) which is quite cheap as compared to those pillow which sells at SGD$20 or even more!
With that, we ended out second day in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Exchange Day 1
This is my first time that I went to Hong Kong and I was so excited to see how's the lifestyle, the environment as well as the people in Hong Kong are like as compared to the Hong Kong drama. When I reached the Hong Kong airport, I was unable to differentiate Hong Kong and Singapore yet since the environment are quite similar to Singapore. However, the differentiation point occurs to me when they start to speak in Cantonese which I don't really understand a single Cantonese in my life. (How I wish that there are subtitles appearing at the bottom on my view so that I can understand what they are talking about)
When I reached the airport, the employees are quite helpful when I approached them for help. With this, I successfully reached HKUST via red taxi (HK$280). When I first step upon HKUST, the view of the school was quite magnificent and the so called central forum was huge with high and transparent ceiling. I try to guide myself to Hall VI with the help of the signs along the way and I reached Hall VI successfully and my body was covered with sweat since the weather was extremely hot on that day when I arrived.
When I reached the Hall, I realize that I can only checked-in after 2pm thus I have 3 hours to spare so I decide to tour around the school and familiarize with the school environment as well as having my first meal in Hong Kong. The school is quite comprehensive in terms of catering to the student who stay in school as there are supermarket, barber shop, banks, various restaurants as well as co-op shops.
After I did my checked in at around 2.30PM, I settle down in my room and unpacked all my stuff. Later at night other two of my course mates have arrive as well and we take a tour around the school to find out where is the nearest bus-stop so that we can go for our mini tour on the very next day.
Well I didn't took any photo on day 1, so no picture for this post

2nd year of my studies
Finally, I have finished my first 2 years of my studies, tentatively, I have one more year to go, only if I passed all my modules hahaha. At first when I step into this school of mine, I felt that results are very important to student, however, this kind of thoughts have literally destroy the main purpose of studying, which is learning things that interest us.
I fully aware the importance of CAPs and results that's because it can open up opportunities for us landing for our first job or even internship or even better, scholarship. Of course being able to get those opportunities are indeed beneficial to us especially to poor students or students who are seeking opportunities for landing on their dream job.
In school, I have friends who strive to achieve higher CAPs and also some friends who wants to graduate in a shorter period of time so that they can start to find jobs and earn income for their family or themselves. These are certainly no good or wrong answer to the path they choose, that's because life is not like exams, where there is only one absolute answer. In life, anything you do, anything you choose, if the decision derive from your inner heart, inner thoughts, then follow it, don't leave any regret behind.
Pressure, pressure and pressure are certainly unavoidable, especially in university where the competition is much hard then in Junior Collage or Polytechnic. With such competition, one of the main objective that students should aim for are slowly being blurred away. The main objective that has been blurred away is the purpose of studying, while I mean the true purpose of study.
The enjoyment of studying, the excitement of studying has been generally transform into a negative force which is call stress. Although having stress is certainly good as it help us to strive harder but the stress that students are currently having now isn't the stress to motivate them to learn things in a positive way but instead, a way to just score higher result.
I fully understand what it really meant to study in this semester, which is able to digest whatever we learn in a way which is fun and able to fully capture the core of what the module is teaching. Certainly, mistakes happen in every part and parcel of our life, it happen in exams as well. Thus, making mistake is unavoidable, however, understanding where we gone wrong is necessary so that we can learn from our mistake.
For student out there, if you happen to read this, I am very sorry for my language, since my English is not really that good. But what I hope you can gain from this is to understand the main purpose of studying and what you are going to achieve at the end of the day. Result is not everything, Certificate is also not everything, the most important thing for us is knowledge, the knowledge that we have interest in.

One Month Break
Finally, exams are over. This is no doubt a relieve for me since exams are one of the toughest fight that student need to face during their period of studies. This December will be a very busy December for me since I have tons of stuff line up for me to complete before ending my one month break of studies.
Well I do really hope that I can finish all the task that I aim to do before school start if not I will, I will..... Forget it, I will do it during school period. hahaha..
Module Preference Exercise, which is also known as MPE, is a system that my school adopt to allow student to choose their module before the actually bidding of modules, sounds weird isn't it?!?! It might be weird for most people, but that's how our school system work. However, I got all my modules that I wanted in MPE which also means that I won't have to bid for modules during the later part of December which is definitely a good news for me.
Well since now is holiday, I shall take a short break before continuing my work. Cya!

2nd Year Semester 1 in NUS
13 weeks has passed, time really flies and a lot of things happen during this semester, good things and bad things as well, although not much of a bad thing happen during this semester.
This semester was quite an interesting semester for me because due to the modules that I took this semester are very interesting.
The modules that I have took this semester are:
1) Computer networking CS2105
2) Information Management System IS3101
3) Service Science IS3220
4) Business Communication IS2101
5) Politics and Governance in Singapore GEK2003
For computer networking, the content is a bit dry and also there are programming assignment required to be done for this module, which is socket programming, where I do not have any experience in. Although it is tough, but I did not give up and tried my best to do every single assignment without much help from the others as this is a better way for me to learn rather than asking others for help. Unique right?!
Overall this module is quite interesting cause you get to know how each protocol works and understand the high level of computer networking.
For Information Management System, this is also rather interesting as I get to know in depth stuff of Information System in the real world. Although it is quite similar to one of the previous module that I have took, IS1105, but this is more in depth. We also have a group presentation which I think we did well in handling the topic that we were given which is Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in healthcare sector. It is quite fun as we did a skit in our presentation.
For Service Science, initially I took this module just because I left with no choice but to take this to satisfy my 5 modules per semester quota. The reason is because before I took this module, I have zero interest in service science field. On top of that, due to the high bidding score for this module, I only have a some group of friends taking this module and most of them had already formed their own group.
Then I thought that "Ahhhh I have to work with people I do not know, and 100% of this module comes from group presentation and idea/concept that the group come out with". After the first lecture, my thoughts that I have came out to be untrue. I formed myself a very best team that I had and we did pretty well together as we do not have unnecessary conflict or argument during the discussion. As I conclude that this team is one of the "dream team" that I ever had in NUS.
Well I hope that my future project group teammate will be as good as the team I had for service science. Hope so....
Business communication is one of the so called "English" module for me and of course whenever English is concern, I have big headache for it. Cause I am not strong in English language. However, I take this mod to brush up my presentation skills as I understand that one of my major weakness is presentation and this module act as a platform for me to improve my presentation skills which will benefit me for my future.
Last but not least is Politics and Governance in Singapore, is the GEM that I took for this semester. I took this module is because i have interest in it but have no knowledge in it. Get what I meant? Means I am Noob in this area lol. Taking this module has really help me understand a lot about politics and slightly in depth on the history to the present with regards to the politics issue. Although I understand that I will not score well in this module probably the so called last 20% of the bell curve, however, I have no regret since I get to learn more about Singapore politics which I believe that university student should know more about the politics matters in Singapore. The lecture and the tutorial are really interesting and there is debate as well for the tutorial where we will get into group and each week there will be an opposition and a proposition team to discuss on certain matter which put up by the lecturer to be discuss in the tutorial. This is a rather interesting concept as students has to do their own research and then do a debate on the topic given.
Overall this semester is really fun and interesting well hope the same thing applies to me as well for the next semester which I doubt so since there's Math module that I need to take. Oh well.... But before this semester ends, I still have 3 exams to go for. Well best of luck to everyone who is taking exams!

Midterm!!
Been mugging all these days and really trying hard to achieve what I am aiming for. No matter how hard, I will still endure it! To everyone who are preparing for the finals or mid terms, good luck! Let's fight together!
One Liter of Tears
Fifteen year old Ikeuchi Aya was just a normal girl, soon to be high school student and daughter of a family who works at a shop that makes tofu. As time passed, unusual things started happening to Aya lately. She started falling down often and walking in a strange way. Her mother Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration - a rare disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind in the least.
How will Aya react when told about her disease? And how will Aya live from now on?
My View: This drama is really interesting and Aya character is strong who really motive people around her and the people who watched this drama to fight on and treasure lives while you live. This drama inspires me into creating something useful towards the healthcare sector. Although I don't have any strong idea yet, but I will keep on researching to see how I can contribute to help out the patients who are currently fighting against their illnesses. This drama is really worth watching, although it's a slow beginning, however, as the story goes on, the meaningful part will surfaced. So please don't think that this drama is a bit boring and then stop watching. Best drama that people should really watched.

Life
Have you ever asked yourself what you want to be?
Take academic for example, sometimes when you fail a subject or even one assignment, this doesn't tells you that you suck in that subject, it just proof that you need to improve on that area. Well is normal to fail when you are in school, because that's the only place where you can fail and learn.
So, students especially, take this chance, your only chance, to fight for your dream while you can.
Have you ever questioned or doubted yourself in the things that you do?
Have you ever run away from problems?
Have you taken the first step in the things that you want to achieve?
Finally, Have you ever believe in yourself?
I have a dream, I have a goal but however, I did not take the first step of achieving it. Comfort zone, is the place where all people want to be, but living in the comfort zone will not be able to achieve their dreams. No matter how far, how tough or how difficult, we have to overcome it. I understand is tough, sometimes I have tried to run away also however, in order to achieve your dream, running away is not an option.

Recently I hooked on Korean songs such as se7en, Big bang, Beast and many more. But now I am focusing on singers from YG. se7en, Big Bang and 2NE1 are now my favorite. So be sure to catch their songs which are nice and hippy.
Reborn
Decide to revive this blog since well it quite a pity to dispose this blog since I did everything including designing the blog from scratch. I am currently studying in National University of Singapore, major in Information System.
I had a very interesting summer vacation where I get to do lots of interesting stuff and get in touch with new technologies. On top of that, I get to work with great people!
I had my so called internship at Microsoft Innovation Center in Singapore. Well it pretty sad that my internship is going to end as school reopening.
Throughout this summer, I understand what I really want and from now on, I going to go towards my goal, which is doing start-up. I always wanting to do this, but don't know where to start. However, things changed, I understand my goal and the focus that I am going to head to.
Be sure to catch up my new company soon! Well probably not SO soon. But be prepared, I will be back :)

FoC
This week was a fantastic week for me because I attended quite a number of great events and made quite a number of new friends.
The first event I went was FoC, Freshman orientation camp (School of Computing), Organize by our seniors. Actually, I do not have the intention of joining this camp because I have things going on on the 8th June. Also, I thought the orientation camp would be like those I have attended during my poly days where everything was dry and not fun at all.... But after much thoughts and my friend, Roger Wong, also joining this camp, then I said to myself, "Why not? Just join and make new friends!". So I decided to sign up for this camp.
The first day of the camp really changes my thoughts base on my previous experience of the orientation camp that I have attended. It was really fun and interesting. I can see all the Orientation Group Leaders were very enthusiastic about this camp and my group member as well, we were are hyped up in each and every game we played. I still remember what my OGL said to us during the first day of our camp, "Don't play to win, let's just have fun!".
So no matter what games we played, we seldom win. I still remember the Running Man game, we were appointed as the mission team where we have to hide away from the seekers and at the same time, we have to do our mission in order to eliminate the seekers. The first round of the game, we decided to stick together as a team because we were still unfamiliar with the place and also try to protect the girls. But in the end, in less than 10 mins, all of us got caught.
But instead of reprimanding each other, we had a great laugh. The other group leaders (including ours) and the committee members told us that we were the fastest team to get caught in this game. So with that, we were given another chance to play again and this time we decided to split up in order to make this game last longer, if not a bit malu mah. But in the end, we all got caught again :)
The second day we played amazing race, where we joint with another group, which is bloo, in this amazing race game. But at that time, I was really tired, I just follow the group to complete the mission given to us, like a dead zombie.
But after we reached Sentosa, I feel refreshed again. We started playing all sorts of games. After which, Jin Hui and me decided to throw all our OG members into the sea (Since Li Ru suggested it). So we decided to throw Li Ru first since she suggested it, followed by Clovis (He throw himself), Wing, Fiona and then Jin Xiang.
After that we went to bathe and then Wing suddenly did a confession to us, she told us that she's a fake freshie!!! We were like... NO WAY!!!! Cause the way she acted, was totally like a freshman. None of us suspected her as a fake freshie. Worse come to worse was that she is a year 4 student! WOW!!!!! Surprise right? She felt guilty about it that's why she decided to told us on the second day, and also some of the fake freshie had already revealed themselves and the respond wasn't that good.
But for us, this looks great and unbelievable because this is our first time experiencing this kind of event. Instead of having negative respond, we were like, "Hey let's try that next year to the freshie!". We don't get mad at that because it doesn't matter that you are a freshie or a senior, the most important thing is to be happy and make more new friends.
But then, after having dinner with my OG, I had to leave because I have something on the next day :(
But then, I appeared again on the 8th June evening. It was the time where we played the SP (Secret Pal) game. The secret pal game was basically meeting the opposite sex from the other groups and that person will be your secret pal, you will only know their real identity during the finale where we get to eat dinner together, exchange present and know each other more.
The orientation camp concluded with Cookie Monster, which is my group and the no.1 group in this orientation camp..... All other teams also did well too in this camp and all left home with prizes too. This camp was certainly fun but it's a pity that I missed part of it due to some involvement in something. But overall, it's a great camp!

I am Back!
Finally, I am back to blogging!
Left 11 days to my ORD date! Well it feels great to know that I going to start my new phrase of life soon but also, feel a bit sad because the people that I have trained with during BMT and OCT, also people whom I have worked with for a year, I have to say goodbye to them soon.... All the memories created are truly wonderful, because of that, I will not forget my NS life after I ORD even ROD :)
During my long leave before I ORD, I watched a lot of Korean Drama/Variety show, which my brother introduced. At first, only one variety show attracts me which was "We Got Married season 2", which shows about the marriage life of a random chosen celebrities couple. The reason why is because, I have watched the season 1 of "We Got Married" before, that's why I do not mind watching the season 2 of the show. But after a while, I was influence by my brother to watch another variety show, Running Man.
After I started watching the first episode of Running Man, it totally made me addicted to it. I kept on watching and watching..... Basically Running Man is an outdoor game show hosted by the Korean Nation MC, Mr. Yoo Jae Suk, follow by the long term team member, Kim Jong Koon, Song Jihyo, HaHa, Gary, Guan Suk, Suk Jin and Jong Ki (left the show due to filming of drama). Every week, there will be one or two guest celebrities joining the game show along with the team member. Each time the team wins a game, they will be awarded with a Running Ball, which gives them a chance to escape from punishment. You will never get sick of this show because they have wide variety of games involved throughout this show.
After which, I also watch another variety show hosted by Nation MC, Mr.Yoo Jae Suk, which is Family Outing Season 1. The show is a two day and one night show split into two episodes. The show is a two day and one night show split into two episodes. In the first episode, it starts with a call from Yu Jae-suk, the permanent MC on the show, telling the rest of the family where the next location is. Each member arrives along with the episode's guest, greeted by Yu Jae-suk who is usually waiting in front of the town hall or a waiting shed. The guest is then given a map to follow to the house that they will be staying in. Once they reach the house, they send off the owners on their vacation and look over the list of chores that the house owners have left behind for them to complete. After this, they begin with the first chore. While completing this chore a game is played in which the family splits up into two teams. After completing the first chore they either go on to the next chore or go to prepare dinner. When preparing dinner, the family splits up the duties once again.
After dinner, the Family plays games for early morning chores. Before Park Ye-jin and Lee Chun-hee's departure, the sleeping arrangements are chosen by having a contest after dinner. Lee Hyo-ri and Park Ye-jin would rank the men in the family from first, as the most desirable, to last (1 to 6 or 7 if there are two male guests) based on how well they perform in the day and the contest. After which the guys rank the girls. Recently, the ranking activities has been replaced with games to figure who will be doing the late-night or early-morning chores. Usually 1 person is chosen, whether losing as a group or an individual game then choosing the rest, to make a total of 3 people. The first episode usually ends in the middle of the night's activity.
The second episode begins with the continuation of the night's activity. After the rankings or the nighttime chores, the Family goes to bed. They usually sleep around midnight or later, because of the night activities or because they talk so much before going to sleep. The next morning the show's producer wakes up Yu Jae-suk and gives him the instructions for the Wake Up Mission. Initially, the Wake Up Mission was in the form of a quiz but later on was changed into more physical games. Whoever loses this game, has to make breakfast for the family. The loser then picks one to sometimes three people to make the breakfast with him/her. While they make breakfast, the rest of the Family either goes back to sleep, or completes another chore. The people that makes the breakfast gets to choose what they want to cook. Most of the time, the process of making breakfast takes a long time so it will be at least noon or later when the family members eat breakfast. After breakfast, the Family does the remaining chores on the list left by the owners. While completing the final chores, another game is played. After finishing the chores the owners of the house return and the Family leaves. A preview of the next week's episode and guest/s is shown at the end of the episode.
In later episodes, half of the night's activity aired before preparing dinner, afterwards going back in time (3–4 hours) to prepare dinner, with the episode ending at dinner. The second episode still begins with the continuation of the night's activity, which usually involves the selection of who will be doing the early-morning chores. Then those people are shown doing the chore before the Wake Up Mission is played. Afterwards, breakfast is made and a shot of the "Family" is shown before the preview of the next week's episode. This has virtually eliminated the actually owners involvement with the family, other than handing the house over to the Family at the beginning. (From wikipedia)

Just a small chat with my brother
My brother had finished his final paper in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, one of the 5 polytechnic in Singapore. He is in high spirit when he came back home and I can see that he had done quite well in his examination, I guess lol.
He study Biomedical Science and he wanted to be a doctor in the future. But after talking to him about being a doctor, I found out that he intend to go overseas to study as it is difficult for him to continue his degree studies in Medicine in local university as the cut off point is high and usually those "high end courses" like Law and Medicine, are probably given to 'A' level student with excellent results, but there are local polytechnic students get accepted in those course too, but it's quite rare.
I can see that my brother is passion about being a doctor. He already planned out his route and plan to go to Australia, Melbourne University to purse his studies after serving his National Service.
I hope he can be a great doctor and at least he know what he is pursuing, unlike me, I still haven't really decide which occupation that I am going to become after I graduate from NUS. Although I have 4 years for me to decide but 4 years say long also not long, say short also not short. But when the time comes, it's all about my decision and the choice, I had to make when I graduate no matter what.

Rookies' Diary / 新兵日記
This drama is super funny because you can find all sorts of funny recruits acting blur or acting funny during the training. I laugh until my stomach pain through out the series (the series is not completed yet though).
Not only funny as I mentioned but this drama also shows how people's feeling changed in the process of their training in BMT. At first those recruits, Corporals and Sergeants do not really like/appreciate how Second Lieutenant Sun An Bang conduct his training for the recruits as he was strict and go against the rule book of training recruits.
But as the times goes by, Second Lieutenant Sun An Bang passion saw by the recruits, Corporals and Sergeants. Together, the recruits even help Second Lieutenant Sun An Bang out when he is in trouble due to some conflict with gangsters due to money lending problem caused by his father.
After the incident, the captain decided to used his traditional method to train up all these recruits before they passed out from BMT.
Are all the recruits able to pass their physical test in BMT? We shall find out in the final episode of Rookies' Diary.
